My name is Mark, and I’m laying a foundation for a brand-new website about… (ugh) me.
Chances are you already know me if you’re looking at this site, but if not, here are a few things about me:
I’m an educator by trade, a writer by education and a film professional by chance. As of this blog posting, I teach 7th-grade social studies in small-town Georgia. Additionally, I’ve got two graduate degrees–an M.A. in Screenwriting & Film Studies, and an M.F.A. in screenwriting. This pathway has led me onto various film sets in a variety of roles.
My goal is to keep this site simple. Rather than spending countless hours of frustration giving away my personal data on social media, I’m keeping most of my communication here. This is where you can find my musings on topics that are important to me–topics like writing, storytelling, tabletop gaming, crafting and just being an all-around decent person in a world that often distracts from all-around decency.
Additionally, when I publish books or other consumable content, this will serve as a central hub to find that content.
The idea is to start off simple and to evolve over time, depending on both my passions and where I seem to connect with you most.
